Warm Bath

You stay and listen to the cedars. The wind moves through them in long, unhurried waves, each one passing from one side of the stand to the other. The bird calls again. This time no one answers, and that seems fine too.

How it works

Every moment begins with the same option: Stay a while. It lingers where you are, with nothing to decide, and every path is still open afterward. Beyond that, up to three ways onward. Some circle back; two lead home, each with its own postcard.
