Warm Bath

Above the wall, the branches cross a sky that is turning from blue to violet. The colour deepens so slowly that you only notice it by looking away and back again. A single cloud holds the last of the light at its edge: pink, then gold, then gone.

How it works

Every moment begins with the same option: Stay a while. It lingers where you are, with nothing to decide, and every path is still open afterward. Beyond that, up to three ways onward. Some circle back; two lead home, each with its own postcard.
