Warm Bath

A small ring widens from where the water falls, meets the stone edge, and disappears. Another takes its place. Then another. Each one is a little different and almost exactly the same. You stop counting somewhere after nine, and the rings carry on without needing to be counted.

How it works

Every moment begins with the same option: Stay a while. It lingers where you are, with nothing to decide, and every path is still open afterward. Beyond that, up to three ways onward. Some circle back; two lead home, each with its own postcard.
