Warm Bath

You stay in the rain. The drops grow softer, then fewer. Each makes a small sound on the water, and the sounds space themselves farther and farther apart, until you are only listening for the next one. Afterward, the air smells of wet cedar and stone.

How it works

Every moment begins with the same option: Stay a while. It lingers where you are, with nothing to decide, and every path is still open afterward. Beyond that, up to three ways onward. Some circle back; two lead home, each with its own postcard.
