Warm Bath

You sink down until the water reaches your shoulders. The warmth closes around you completely. Your arms float a little on their own. The stone at your back is worn smooth by years of other visitors, and it fits you well enough. For a while there is nothing to do but this.

How it works

Every moment begins with the same option: Stay a while. It lingers where you are, with nothing to decide, and every path is still open afterward. Beyond that, up to three ways onward. Some circle back; two lead home, each with its own postcard.
