Warm Bath

Between the maple and the pine, the ground is covered in moss so even it looks combed. A stone basin sits low among ferns, filled to the brim. Over the garden wall, the tops of taller trees lean in the evening breeze, then straighten again.

How it works

Every moment begins with the same option: Stay a while. It lingers where you are, with nothing to decide, and every path is still open afterward. Beyond that, up to three ways onward. Some circle back; two lead home, each with its own postcard.
