Warm Bath

The moon comes up behind the wall, large and slightly golden. Its light finds the steam first, then the water, then the wet stones along the rim. The bath turns silver at the edges. Everything is just as it was a moment ago, only brighter, and somehow quieter.

How it works

Every moment begins with the same option: Stay a while. It lingers where you are, with nothing to decide, and every path is still open afterward. Beyond that, up to three ways onward. Some circle back; two lead home, each with its own postcard.
