Warm Bath

A single maple leaf lets go of its branch. It turns twice in the air and lands on the water without a sound. For a moment it stays exactly where it fell. Then a slow current from the spout finds it, and it begins a long, patient journey toward the other side.

How it works

Every moment begins with the same option: Stay a while. It lingers where you are, with nothing to decide, and every path is still open afterward. Beyond that, up to three ways onward. Some circle back; two lead home, each with its own postcard.
