Warm Bath

You stay under the maple. Its leaves turn in the breeze, showing their pale undersides and then their dark ones. The ledge beneath you is just the right height. From here, the steam over the bath looks like weather in a very small, very gentle country.

How it works

Every moment begins with the same option: Stay a while. It lingers where you are, with nothing to decide, and every path is still open afterward. Beyond that, up to three ways onward. Some circle back; two lead home, each with its own postcard.
