Warm Bath

You lie back on the warm boards with the towel beneath your head. The sky above the wall is full of stars now. The spout trickles. The cedars move. Your thoughts, whatever they were, have drifted somewhere quieter, and you don't go after them.

How it works

Every moment begins with the same option: Stay a while. It lingers where you are, with nothing to decide, and every path is still open afterward. Beyond that, up to three ways onward. Some circle back; two lead home, each with its own postcard.
